FAQs

Can I print TechLibrary Materials?

Yes. You may use your web browser's print function to do that.

Can I copy TechLibrary Materials into my study notes?

No. We prevent you from doing that for content protection purporces.

Upon reviewing the Technical Library, I found material on technologies not included on the lab blueprint. Is the Technical Library up to date?

The Technical Library contains a collection of notes that have been accumulated over the past five years. While some of the material found in the Technical Library references topics that are not related to passing the R&S CCIE lab (such topics include ISDN, ATM and DLSw), the Technical Library is still used by people who might want to access information related to these subjects for purposes beyond CCIE preparation. Also, while coverage of topics that are not in the current CCIE lab can still be found in the Technical Library, there is plenty of additional information on other subjects that are currently covered in the CCIE Lab. In particular, please access the PDF files in the Public and Private PDF files sections of the Technical Library. Many of these files contain the latest updates to the Technical Library. Also, many of these files contain information that are directly relevant to the current R&S CCIE lab.

Is that just a bunch of articles?

The Technical Library is not designed to simply be a repository of internetworking knowledge. It is also designed to provide multiple instances of the NMC CCIE lab problem solving approach called "issue spotting". Throughout the Technical Library, you will access multiple "options analysis" diagrams that are formulated in a decision tree like format. You can access the majority of these diagrams in your NMC web-portal by accessing the "Decision Trees" sub-tab from the "Lib" tab.
