On-line access to any Cisco show command on all devices of a properly configured pod – that is what SHOWiT gives CCIE candidates.
SHOWiT was originally invented in 2003 to provide DOiT Workbook users with an interactive version of answer key for practice labs. Soon after that initial release the technology was applied to CHECKiT graded labs in order to give students comparison of their pod configuration with the desired one.
Over the years the engine was rewritten several times enhancing speed, feature support and overall usability of the tool.

- SHOWiT saves you time and mental energy. This innovative product allows you to locate specific output in a scenario rapidly. Remember, many scenario answer keys are comprised of over 100 pages of router and switch output. It is tiring and overwhelming to look for the output you want to review. SHOWiT overcomes this burden by allowing you to search the answer key for precisely the information you are looking for.
- There is no learning curve with SHOWiT. This tool allows you to query the scenario answer key with the same IOS show command syntax you use on a Cisco router or switch.
- SHOWiT provides both summarized output as well as highly detailed output. The engine can provide the summary output viewed when a command like “show ip bgp” is entered or it can provide highly detailed output when a command like “show ip bgp 5.5.5.0 | inc 172.16.103.1” is entered.
- SHOWiT output is easy to updated, so we do it often. When changes and enhancements are made to any scenario, it is easy for us to make parallel enhancements to the scenario’s SHOWiT file. Therefore, any scenario’s answer keys is always fully synchronized with SHOWiT output.
SHOWiT Interface
SHOWiT is delivered as a part of NetMasterClass Learning Portal.
The tool is currently used for DOiT workbook, practice labs for Classes-on-Demand, onsite class scenarios and CHECKiT graded labs.

Input Options
- Product — products that use SHOWiT engine include DOiT, CHECKiT, Classes-on-Demand, etc.
- Scenario — choose the lab that you work on at the moment
- Router/Switch — select any single device or «ALL» to run command on all devices
- Command Line
- Type in — any Cisco IOS command or proprietary NMC command
- «?» — for dynamic help that shows you the list of supported commands
- «Tab» — check what your typing options are
- « ↓ » Button — dynamic help that shows you the list of supported commands ( same as typing «?» in «Command Line»)
- «Run → » Button — click it or press enter to execute command
- « ↑ Hide Headers ↑» — hide unnecessary headers and use all of the screen space for the engine itself
