Chris Boto, CCIE#20475
I am thrilled to announce that I have passed my CCIE exam on the first try!I appreciate your support, excellent studying materials, and to all NMC forum users for their very useful questions and tips.By the way my number Is 19982 :-)Thank you very much again, I will recommend your workbook to everyone who plans to attend this exam – I couldn’t have done it with you.
Roni Pollak, CCIE #19982
I finally passed the Routing and Switching exam in San Jose on Oct 5 2007, and got my number (#19024) . I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for developing such an excellent workbook. Thank you.
Azam Poulatov, CCIE #19024
I passed on my first attempt (CCIE #18953)! The CHECKiT labs were a great yardstick to measure my readiness and performance with a time limit. The DOiT books provided insight into all the features and functionality I saw on the lab, and the answer key explanations filled in all the blanks as I went along. Great product.
Ryan Morris, CCIE #18953
I wanted to drop you an email to let you know that on Tuesday (9/4) I passed my second attempt at the R&S lab. Your DOiT and CHECKiT labs were instrumental in building my lab strategy, determining my weak areas and gaining understanding of some of the harder and more obscure technologies. Your products played a key role in my success and I thank you! Please pass my appreciation on to the rest of the crew.
Thomas Fowles, CCIE #18762
I recently finished getting my IE in R&S thanks in part to the NMC lab workbook. Your content explored the technologies at a level that allowed me to pass the test, as well as gain a deep insight and understanding in the mechanics of routing and switching protocols.
Andy Merritt, CCIE #18734
I would like to thank you the NMC Team for providing excellent training materials. The DOiT Workbook is amazing. I found the Scenarios extremelly challenging. The Switching, Redistribution and Multicast diagrams i found in the Answer Key, were a key point in my understanding of the technologies. And i learned to be much more organized and methodic.
Antonio Soares, CCIE #18473
I managed to pass my CCIE in R/S on 2nd attempt, on 2nd July 2007 in Sydney. I got my number 18346, and will like to thank the folks at NMC for an excellent workbook in Routing and Switching that really makes you think out of the box in providing solutions to complex CCIE-level questions.
Wong Chian Chong, CCIE #18346
Thanks for your DOiT Vol. 2 workbook. Those labs were killing me, but it was worth it. And for all CCIE® candidates, I recommend getting your TechLib access. It was an indespensable resource for last time review.
Peter Mesjar, #17428
I would not have passed the CCIE without you and NMC's workbooks and practice labs. Thank you so much for the excellent help you have provided.
Joe Chang, #16805
The DOiT labs are definitely top notch.
Paul Dardinski, #16842
I passed my R/S lab last Friday. It was possible because of your great DOiT workbook and CHECKiT labs. The power of your products is the way they teach you how to think as network engineer. In your approach, deep knowledge of technology is only the first step. The second and most important step is to learn how to THINK as CCIE. And it works!! Now I'm the CCIE :)
Maciej Chudzik, #16859
Passed yesterday at RTP in R&S. Your doitv2 labs were a huge help in preparation! Thanks!
Kevin Lanard, #16559
I passed my CCIE lab exam on Friday and wanted to thank NetMasterClass for their excellent workbook which I believe ultimately put me over the top. Not only is the workbook insanely difficult and causes you to constantly think outside the box, it also helps to point out excellent lab taking skills and organization. I don't think I would have been able to pass the lab if I hadn't gone through the DOiT labs.
Earl Hough, #16508
NMC DOiT V2 was the only source for practice labs I used, and I found many of them to be more difficult than the actual exam. I felt they touched on all areas of the blueprint and covered the new 12.3/12.4 features well. The redistribution scenarios really were helpful in improving my speed on solving complex and conflicting requirements. I would recommend NMC to anyone pursuing the R&S lab.
Jon Mitchell, #15953
I just wanted to let you and the entire crew at NMC know that I passed my CCIE on the 28th of Feb on my third attempt. My number is #15860. I am so glad that is over! I want to thank you and everyone at NMC for all the help and the excellent boot camp! The Do-IT workbook was also an eye opener for me and helped me along the way as well.
Shawn Windle, #15860
I passed the Lab in RTP on my first attempt yesterday. I couldn't have done it with out everything I learned from NetMasterClass I & II and all of the DOITs I did. Thanks to all of you, you guys are great!
Tim Noonan,#15704
I could not have passed without the Netmaster class and DOiT labs. Your labs are very thorough covering every option that could be on the test. The answer keys and online message board were key to understanding the concepts after finishing your class.
Michael Forbes, #15389
Yes, the DoITs are good for learning a specific feature in which one may be unfamiliar, like in my case, IPV6, but, most of all, I am the kind of guy that can and does think out of the box and the the DoITs were really humbling, they really took that concept to another level. They really illustrated the depth of complexity in which something can be configured.Just after completing one DoIT and saying "ahha, I got it now", the next one would make me think and still teach me something new. I also must say, the DoITs were very fun to do.
Cheney Nattress, #15200
I can say that the NMC DOiT scenarios, Technical Library and excellent checklists were instrumental in my passing the test on this occasion. I can't thank you enough for the great materials that you have developed to assist candidates in preparing for the CCIE Lab Exam and recommend the DOiT Workbook scenarios to anyone pursuing the CCIE R&S certification.
John Pearson, #14798
I would never passed if I hadn't spent some bucks for your acclaimed DoiT workbook. Thanks Indy & Alexei for all your help and patience and NMC for letting me preview some of your Tech Library. Invaluable stuff !!! – actually I recommend anyone looking for CCIE track to prepare using your materials.Keep going this way, NMC !
Mihai Petcu, #14786
Thanks for all of the help, direction, and obtuse configuration problems presented to me during the RS-NMC-1. I directly attribute your class for preparing me to pass my lab and making me a much more solid engineer. Your class, DOiT labs, and website will be my first recommendation for any other candidates.
Pete SakoskyCCIE #14460
I'd like to thank all of the folks at NetMasterClass for their support in helping me attain my CCIE. I would highly recommend all CCIE candidates utilize the products offered by NMC. Bruce and Bob are great classroom instructors. The classroom environment was very comfortable. Indy helped me to file all of the correct paperwork. Val took the time to answer all of my questions and push me through areas where I was struggling to understand a technology. The DOiT Labs are top notch, error-free, mind bending scenarios that help to make sure you understand the 'how' and 'why'. Thanks for making this a great journey,
Chris KaneCCIE #14430
If you can only use 1 resource for your IE preparation, I would go with NMC.The "Spotting the Issues" guide that comes with each lab was an amazing help. I spent the last month before my exam just reading through the Spotting the Issues guide that NMC provides. I was burned out and did not have the energy to configure any more routers, so I just spent time reading over the materials that NMC provides. I have used other lab vendors, and NMC was the difference between passing and another failed attempt.

Just wanted to say thanks for everything. I couldn't have done it without your classes and guidance. Thanks VAL for taking the time to explain the small details and thanks Bruce pushing to the level I needed to be a CCIE and not just pass the test.. The Do-it workbook and the Check-it lab put me over the top for sure. Really prepared me and made me think of all the possible scenarios to complete the lab exam. Keep up the good work!!

Well, your fingers do good work!! I'm #13301. Extremely pleased and relieved. It actually went really well and besides the lab book, which is clearly excellent, I think the CHECKiT helped put me over the top. I would recommend it to anyone. Also, please pass on my personal thanks to Alexei for answering all of my questions. I owe him a debt of gratitude for his help.

I can’t thank you guys enough for all of the help you have provided along the way. The RS-NMC-2 course and the DOiT workbook were extremely useful. In fact, I believe the workbook is what put me over the top. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any candidate. You guys have a great product, and your dedication to the CCIE community is exemplary. Keep up the good work.

I wish to thank everyone at NetMasterClass for the excellent lab workbook they have produced. Ever since I started working on the labs, my routing skills have improved in leaps and bounds. The Answer key helped me tremendously in understanding the various lab scenarios. I also wish to thank Alexei, whose unfailing commitment to answer my email questions on the DoiT mailing list have in many ways contributed tremendously to my understanding of the difficult lab scenarios. Best Regards, Paul Chen CCIE No. 12897

I cannot say Thank You enough to you, Val (who answered my questions SO well on areas I just hadn't come across before), Bruce, Fred and everyone on the NetMasterClass BBS (that was so useful when I took the Christmas/New Year holiday to run through 20 of the labs in the DOiT workbook). Many, many thanks! David

I wanted to let you know that I passed my CCIE Routing and Switching lab exam yesterday in RTP; please let Bruce, Val and Fred know about it and please thank them on my behalf. I'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know that the NMC classes and the DoiT workbook definitely gave me the edge I needed to get my certification. The NMC classes and DoiT workbook are both first class products and I'd strongly recommend them to anyone seriously pursuing the CCIE R&S certification.

The DOiT lab workbook exceeds my expectations because all the Labs I know of just give you the final configs without any explanations. I'm really impressed with these labs and the explanations that come with them. This level of quality doesn't really surprise me much considering the quality of Caslow and Val's book "Cisco Certification: Bridges, Routers, and Switches for CCIE's".

I passed the CCIE lab on my 2nd attempt yesterday! While I used a lot of study materials in preparing for the lab, including other vendors lab workbooks, the best resource I had by far was the DOiT workbook. I only wish I'd had it before my 1st attempt - I have little doubt it would have saved me the extra attempt. The depth of networking knowledge that Bruce and Val have shine through in the DOiT scenarios, not only in the complexity and difficulty of the scenarios but in the issue spotting explanations that they provide. I can't tell you how valuable the issue-spotting section was for me in passing - it made ALL the difference! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The combination of NMC2 and the DoiT Lab workbook got me "over the hump". With the NMC2, I got face time with Bruce Caslow. Bruce provided his best practices and methods for taking the CCIE Lab Exam. After NMC2, I needed to continue practicing lab scenarios in order to improve my speed and retention. This was achieved by using the DOiT Lab workbook. I worked on the DOiT labs every day after work and all weekend long for a month. In that time period, I also spent one week (all day long) working DOiT labs just before I took and passed the CCIE Lab Exam.
Brit WalkerHouston, TXCCIE #12169
The layout of the book is excellent and I believe the scenarios are written such that you are challenged to really think through the issues.I try to work through each of the labs. If I run into a scenario that I'm not sure about I try to use the Cisco CD as my only source of reference. Once completed, I review my answers to the answer key.The best part about this is the DOIT forum. Knowing there are others out there with the same material, if I have any issues with answers, someone will respond with valuable information, unlike other CCIE related mailing lists.

I am already CCIE (#10503) but I think that the DOiT workbook is spectacular, highly rigorous and complex.I am a Fan of Bruce/Val from the 1st edition "Bridges, Routers, and Switches for CCIE's". They are really THE BEST in the Educational Market in worldwide. I have learned from book/white paper not only to configure the devices but I have learned the analysis skill and I have increased my observation ability. This skill is important for Lab Exam but is indispensable for the Job. After I will resolve all Labs , then only in that moment I will be a very Expert !I recommend to all CCIE to buy this Workbook .A special thanks to Indy for he professionalism and courtesy and thanks to all NetMasterClass for your services.

After using many lab books for my CCIE preparation, I found the DOIT lab book to be invaluable. The DOIT lab book is very challenging, and makes you look at different approaches to solving the problem. Right from the start you are challenged with intense difficult labs that will have your mind spinning for days. The Spot the Issue reading guide is very helpful in solving some of the most complex issues. The Spot the Issue section is what separates the DOiT lab book from the others. Not only does the Spot the issue, explain the issues that are involved with the lab, they reference specific commands from the answer key that are used to solve the issue. After going through the labs in the DOiT lab workbook, I have much better confidence going for my CCIE exam. The answer key is very precise, and I have found very few errors with the answer key, compared to some of the other lab books I have used. The layout of the initial configurations, the Spot the Issue guide and the final config on the website makes it very convenient, so you can just login to the website to access all of the information. As for support, the DOiT forum has been the best with always delivering an immediate response to any problems that I had. Finally when I go through the workbook, I tend to do the whole lab, and read the Spot the Issue guide while I am working on the lab, to fully understand all the issues associated with the lab. If I didn't read the Spot the Issue guide I might not know why the answer provided works. I would highly recommend this workbook to any CCIE candidate. Thanks again NetMasterClass!!!Sincerely,
John MatijevicKey Biscayne, FL
There is a quote I heard once "A student by definition doesn't know what he or she doesn't know." And that's how I feel about this book. I feel that I'm confident in certain areas and this book helps me realize that I'm not and that's what I want it to do. I'm tired of reading the 'wrong books' with mindless dribble that is a waste of paper and time.I first used the book to setup my lab and tried to duplicate the lab in the book. The information about the types of switches and software used was a nice bonus. I saved money by buying the right switches to do the job and not try to make do. I also printed up the Spot the Issues and lab answer keys and put them into a binder then tried to do the lab scenario 1 and when I couldn't complete the project I read Spot the Issues and then went to the answer key!

You might wonder why someone with a CCIE already would buy the DoiT lab workbook. Well, I seem to really like punishment and have now decided to go for my security certification. Since over 50% of the security exam is on routing and switching, I have to keep my skills to be able to take that next step. Having known Bruce and Val and the quality of their work, I figured there could be no better way to be challenged than using a workbook they wrote. After using the book, I know I am right!

This lab workbook is a powerful tool. What makes it standout from all other workbooks, (I have seen them all), is "Spot the Issue section". The DoiT lab has a section that points out and explains the hidden issues that can turnout to be a landmine if not recognized. Developing this issue spotting skill is very necessary for the Lab exam. DoiT, I strongly believe, is helping me develop and strengthen this skill. The ability to quickly recognize these mines is a big factor in passing or failing. Since I purchased the book, I have carefully worked through each lab before looking at the ISSUE sections and then checking the answer keys if necessary. For me, the Spot Issue section is worth all the money I paid.

I am very excited about the DOiT lab workbook. When I took NMC-2, I asked Bruce and Val if they were going to put out a workbook and I am thrilled to see that it is available now. What sets the DOiT lab workbook apart from the competition is the Answer Key. Instead of just providing configurations like some other lab books, the DOiT answer key shows you the issues in the lab you should have spotted as well as identifying the solution to resolve each issue. With the DOiT lab book, you won't have to ask "Why is that in the config?". I purchased a lab book from another vendor that was highly recommended and the DOiT lab workbook is much higher quality. I was constantly frustrated by the errors and inconsistencies in the other workbook. Most of the time after completing the lab and checking the answer key, I had several pages of notes filled with questions about the configs and errors in the answer key. With the format of the DOiT lab workbook answer key, the issues raised in each scenario, as well as the solutions are presented in a clear, concise format. With the DOiT forum, questions are answered authoritatively, frequently by the authors themselves. This is the highest quality lab book I have seen out there in the market today. If you were happy with the quality of NMC-1 and NMC-2, you should love this workbook! Another quality product from the NetMasterClass.

I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you, Bruce, and Val how pleased I am with the DOiT workbook. I have been working with it for about a week and am truly impressed. As they do in the class, Bruce and Val go far beyond just testing the candidate's ability to configure routers. The emphasis is on spotting the issues, particularly the hidden issues that occur when protocols and features are thrown together as they are on the exam. What I'm really happy with is that while the labs are obviously written to be done as a whole, they lend themselves to practice with individual protocols as well. I spent yesterday working through the DLSW and Voice sections of the various labs -- two areas that I was concerned about my ability in -- and when I was done, not only was I much more confident in my ability to configure them, I learned several things about each technology that I had not seen in any CCIE book or Cisco doc. The feature that truly gives the DOiT workbook its value is the issue-spotting analysis that comes with each lab. Not only are issues listed for each protocol, the issue is thoroughly explained. It's like having Bruce and Val right there with you as you work through the labs. If you don't have access to a rack but want to study, reading the issue-spotting sections is the thing to do. I've learned several things about protocols that I was very comfortable with that, again, I've not seen in another book that will help me prevent losing unnecessary points on the actual examination. Again, my compliments on a job well done. The DOiT workbook will definitely be my #1 reference as I work toward completing my CCIE certification.

I am very impressed with the DOiT CCIE preparation book. I have worked with and used other competitive material and I have no hesitation and doubt that this is "THE BEST" material that I have seen and been using towards the CCIE R&S Lab. .I am impressed because the labs are not just a pun on words but are twisted Questions which make you think of what the appropriate solution would be. They are camouflaged to cause sufficient problems if care is not taken initially. They make us understand the technology better and not just solve complex scenarios. Even though the solutions are given to the labs, the best part of the DOiT labs that I liked is the "Spot the Issues" section. After finishing the labs and even though my answers are right, I go through this part to ensure that I am thinking on the same lines as the guy who wrote the lab. This gives me better understanding and confidence. I am not affiliated to NetMasterClass in any way but would recommend DOiT Labs strongly to anyone preparing for CCIE R&S.

I would like to comment on recently published DOiT book. The book is a collection of 22 scenarios accompanied by answer key and sample configurations. The book is published on high quality paper; answer key, configurations and updates are available on-line. I was lucky to be able to see the book in beta, so by now I went through many scenarios in the book. The way I like to do it, is do the scenarios one by one and then compare my results to answer key and sample configuration to see what I have missed. Sometime it takes a strong will not to rush to the answer section to solve a complex issue, but I trust it helps a lot to do the research and figure it out. The answer key has great explanations for all the hidden issues in the scenarios, so one should not be at lost as to how to solve something if it does not work. The scenarios in the book are put together very well and very challenging. I am learning new things every day. A friend of mine told me that the reason he was going to purchase NetMasterClass' book was that not only does he believe it would help him to pass the lab, but also make him a better CCIE. He said "I do not want to be in the meeting and have nothing to offer on the issue but my CCIE number". After I worked with the book, I could not agree more. I think it will put one to the point when there is enough knowledge to pass the exam. And it will make one a`real good internetworking engineer. From what I have seen the book is the best product on the market for an intermediate to advance CCIE preparation. I love it! Thanks to Bruce and Val for great service to internetworking society. See you on DOiT forum,
Alexei SadovnikovBoston MA
I have completed several of the DOiT labs and I am extremely pleased. I have used other Lab books from other vendors and they don't even compare. These are all well thought out challenging scenarios. The complexity of these labs lead you to uncover other issues that you wouldn't normally run into in some of the easier labs out there. I have to say that these labs are a level up from NMC2 and having RS-NMC 1 & 2 helps with completing the labs. Each lab has on average 17 multi-topic tasks that make you understand the topics in detail. Another major advantage these labs have over anything I have seen are the answer keys. They are called "Spot the Issues" because each section/question has a full explanation of the hidden issues and how to solve it. These are ten times more valuable than just router/switch config's. Also, the DOiT Forum allows all of us working on the same labs to discuss issues and different approaches. These labs are more the worth the investment!
Dave PalmaFlemington NJ
Once I received the DOiT labs, I was immediately impressed. What had arrived were a set of fresh labs that truly address today's CCIE lab requirements. These labs have the 3550 fully incorporated, unlike some companies that try to fit the 3550 into old labs. Compared to the labs I used in the past, the DOiT labs are far superior on the challenge level. The real plus to these labs is the Answer Key. They provide explanations along with the configs and point out the issues related to the topic. I would recommend these labs to anyone seriously pursuing their CCIE.
Jeff ColburnKensington, MD
The DOiT lab workbook is the best of its kind. The scenarios are challenging. What I like the most in the issue-spotting and answer key. They are very helpful when comparing with other products. The scenarios are systematic, and well organized. They are not only the best for the CCIE Lab practice, but also for the real life supports. Many times, when I'm in network engineering meetings, I use the examples I learned from the DOiT lab workbook as the solutions for tough problems. When a roomful of network engineers looked at me with amazing eyes, I always tell them where the wisdom and magic sources came from. You would hope they'd find answers from DOiT lab workbook next time.
Yulan LeeGermantown, MD
I was one of the few lucky beta testers of DOiT labs and it most definitely saved me in my first attempt. The scenarios are challenging and well thought-out; there is a wide coverage of topics--many of them I would never have noticed without DOiT labs; and the spot-the-issue section is a class by its own. The bottom line is---if you can handle DOiT labs, you will have no problem with the real thing---because the scenarios challenge your understanding of technologies in so many ways, they force you to dig deep and wide into it.
Yuan (Connie) NieCCIE #12018Herndon, VA
The DOiT book helped me a lot in boosting my exam-taking skill in a short period of time. The lab workbook details how to find the hidden issues and helps you understand questions with ambiguous wordings. The answer key is another valuable resource that comes with this book. The Spot the Issue section of the answer key highlights the key points of each question and contains detailed explanations, which is not found in other study materials. Errors in answer key are inevitable but in the DOiT lab workbook, the errors are minor and not that many when compared with other study materials. The difficulty level of the practice lab is adequate and the structure of the lab scenarios is great. I found no duplication in 22 labs. Each lab has its own focus. The DOiT discussion forum is another great service. As the forum is not busy at the moment, every one is getting one-to-one assistance from Alexei. Although I didn't pass the exam on my last attempt, I will continue to use the DOiT lab workbook and forum as I continue my studies and get that number in the near future.
